OG Biggest Loser
Now that we all realized how out of shape we really are…it is time to change all that.
What better way to lose weight than friendly wager among friends?
Well perhaps a little contest that also raises money for the Club!
Details are as follows:
The method of measurement will be a scale and we will weigh contestants on May 31 and August 30. The contestant with the greatest percentage of weight lost will win. For example, Contestant 1 weighs 250lbs on May 31 and weighs 225 on August 30. He lost 25lbs. 25/250 = 10%. Contestant 2 weighs 210lbs on May 31 and weigh 190 on August 30. He lost 20lbs. 20/210= 9.5%. Contestant 1 wins.
$50 entry fee.
$25 if you have not lost weight by month end.
$25 if you miss a scheduled weigh in
$50 penalty for losing less than 10lbs at the end of 3 months.
$100 penalty for a net gain in weight at the end of 3 months. (If you gain weight, you only have to pay the $100 penalty and not an additional $50 for losing less than 10lbs, but you are responsible for the $25 monthly penalty).
Weigh-ins will be held at Tom English’s in Dorchester on the following dates:
May 31 - Kickoff - Weigh-in (followed by the “Last Supper”)
June 28 - Monthly weigh-in #1
July 26 - Monthly weigh-in #2
August 30 - Monthly weigh-in #3 - Also Final Weigh-in.
Photos will be taken at each weigh in to track our progress.
Winner take all!
Also contestants will solicit sponsors, ironically much like the walk for hunger. Instead of $1 per mile. It will be more like $5 per pound. All proceeds will go to benefit OG Rugby!
